Given the works in progress in Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma, the usual venue for the Barcelona Rock Fest metal event, and the festival’s promoters not planning to leave their audience without celebrating the hardest rock annual party, they devised a manner for the celebration. The Rock Fest experienced a first reformulated, transitional edition, which was called Barcelona Rock and was held in a single day at the Sant Jordi Club.

Held on Saturday, July 8, the visitors gathered at the venue were able to enjoy a day of festivals in style. The poster was made up of four category bands. Eclipse were in charge of starting with their melodic hard rock and Angelus Apatrida continued with their characteristic thrash metal. After them came the headliners, with the British Saxon being the first to take the stage. To close the day, was the legendary Scorpions, who came on stage with an energetic attitude and made the entire Sant Jordi Club vibrate with a repertoire full of great hits.
