On the occasion of the inauguration at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum of the Wu Tsang exhibition Of Whales, on February 20 and 21, 2023, the silent feature film MOBY DICK; or, The Whale was presented, also directed by the American artist Wu Tsang. Based on the novel by Herman Melville, the screening took place at the Fernando de Rojas Theater of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.
Initially conceived by the artist to be screened with a live orchestra, the presentation of the feature film in these two days included live music from the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra and obtained the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. This film version, made in collaboration with the Zücher Kammerorchester, can be enjoyed throughout the months of the exhibition.
Thanks to TBA21 Foundation, producer of the projections, Fluge Audiovisuales is in charge of supplying the sound and video equipment for the proper functioning of the installation.
