The Castrelos Auditorium is the only open-air auditorium in Vigo, located in the Castrelos Park. Built in the middle of the 20th century. Due to its location and structure, it evokes Greco-Roman amphitheaters. In this auditorium, the most popular musical performances are held during the summer. It is divided into a pay zone – where around 5,000 people can stand – the amphitheater (with a capacity for 20,000 people) and for last but not least, the open area called the hemicycle.
The Concello de Vigo, given the technical complexity of the space, decided to grant the tender for the technical integral production of the site to Fluge Galicia, which has worked intensively during the beginning of July to prepare the auditorium and manage to cover the 17 large shows already scheduled on July and August.
In this way, Fluge Galicia is responsible, during the summer, for the overall technical production of the site: assembly of infrastructures, audiovisual equipment or personnel. Amongst the 17 major shows planned, artists of the stature of Mana have already passed and others like Raphael await for it, he will perform on 2th August.
