After a long wait and several postponements, the moment that metal fans in Madrid had been waiting for so long finally arrived. The “United Forces 2023” concert by Helloween and Hammerfall took place on September 2 at the WiZink Center in Madrid, and was a resounding success that more than met the expectations of everyone present.
The night began with an energetic and passionate performance by Hammerfall, the Swedish heavy metal band that has left an indelible mark on the music industry with three decades of legacy. From the first chord, Hammerfall demonstrated why they are considered one of the most iconic groups in the genre. They performed a selection of songs that included material from their latest album, showing that they are still a relevant force in the metal world.
After Hammerfall, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived. Helloween, the Power Metal fathers, took the stage with an explosive twelve-minute version of “Skyfall”, taken from their latest album. The band offered an extensive and exciting performance that reviewed their long musical career, from their timeless classics to their new songs. Helloween’s energy and delivery were palpable, and the audience responded enthusiastically from the first chord to the last.
