Hospitality Innovation Planet’s (HIP) third edition, which took place in Madrid from the 19th to the 20th of February, attracted experts and hospitality professionals from around the world. The event was held at IFEMA and it is a reference fair for the sector, which this year beat attendance records with more than 25,000 visitors and is consolidated as one of the largest events of its kind at a European level.
The congress counted on the participation of more than 400 exhibiting companies that presented their latest news among the thousands of entrepreneurs, managers and professionals who met at IFEMA. This edition was marked by the search for innovation and the use of digital tools to promote the hotel business, such as robotics, 3D printing or high performance machinery.
HIP also counted on dozens of presentations by leading hotel businessmen and prominent chefs of international cache. In addition, the congress hosted a contest where the most innovative companies of the year in their sector were awarded, in reference to their capacity for transformation and technological improvement.
The exhibition was located in three pavilions of IFEMA (1, 3 and 5), with more than 30,000 square meters of extension, in which the stands and proposals of the participating firms we exhibited.
FYR Screen and Fluge Audiovisuales, in entrustment of Nebext, were in charge of supplying all the necessary audiovisual equipment from seven conference rooms and two Speaker Corners of the fair.
Among the most relevant equipment, it is worth mentioning the use of 32 robotic lighting systems, with 111 LED PAR and 64 Fresnel spotlights. For the P.A. sound system, 36 self-powered Meyer Sound boxes, 16 d&b boxes and 10 Adamson boxes, controlled by 3 DiGico and 3 Yamaha control tables were provided. Likewise, 4 LED screens of 1.5 X 2.5 meters and 3.75mm of pitch and 1 LED screen of 5.76 X 3.36 meters and 3.75mm of pitch were used, together with 4 Barco Folsom control systems
