On January 23, the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío in Madrid hosted the innovative show “Merina: El Oro Español”, a performance that fuses music, dance and the visual arts in a traditional way for 80 minutes.

The representation pays tribute to a key moment in Spanish and Castilian history, with merino wool as its protagonist, from its humble origins as a raw material to its influence on 16th century fashion and its impact on the high avant-garde. MERINA offers, therefore, four moments in a story that gives rise to a transversal show fusing electronic music, fashion and dance.

The performance is the result of the joint work of the fashion brand “Oteyza”, the choreographer Antonio Najarro, the multidisciplinary artist Tagore González, and Príamo Estudio, in charge of the impressive staging.

Thanks to Geosimo Media, producer of the work, Fluge Audiovisuales was in charge of supplying the audiovisual equipment. Among the equipment, it is worth highlighting the microphones, a 20,000 lumens HD laser projector and around 30 conventional lighting spotlights.
