“MUJERES CANTAN A ROCÍO JURADO” BENEFIT CONCERT LIGHTS UP THE WIZINK CENTER IN MADRID

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the WiZink Center in Madrid hosted one of the most important concerts of the season on March 8. “Mujeres cantan a Rocío Jurado” was a unique benefit concert, an ode to the figure of the pioneer with an exceptional line-up made up of acclaimed artists such as Edurne, Pastora Soler, Ruth Lorenzo, the Tanxugueiras or Rigoberta Bandini. All of them had the objective of paying tribute to the artist and celebrating her musical and cultural legacy.

Presented by women such as Isabel Jiménez, Mercedes Milá or Yolanda Ramos, the show was a unique event attended by more than 4,000 people who were able to recall the artist’s most famous songs during a two-hour show. Her daughter, Rocío Carrasco, was also present, who touched the public with some moving words towards her mother. The event was broadcast live on television, during the Telecinco Deluxe program, and was also a success on social networks.
