More than fifteen stages and about a hundred artists took the streets of Donosti for four days with the 54 Heineken Jazzaldia, whose latest edition attracted more than 170,000 visitors. From the past 24th to July 28th, the streets of the city were soaked with all kinds of jazz proposals that united the past and the present of the genre by consecrated artists with soloists and emerging bands, such as John Zorn, Atomic & the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra or the Basques Belako.
A multitude of musicians paraded through its large number of stages exhibiting their particular style representing the genre, such as the aforementioned John Zorn, whose eclectic and avant-garde style caused great expectation and was highly recognized by the festival, awarding him with a prize for his career.
Fluge Audiovisuales and ABS-Fluge Euskadi provided the sound equipment of the Verde, Frigo, Plaza de la Trinidad and Heineken Terrace stages of the festival thanks to the trust of Donostia Kultura EEP, producer of the event.
In the Green Stage, Meyer Sound equipment, Shure sound equipment for R.F. monitors and microphones, and Avid Digidesign Profile and DiGiCo SD8 control tables were provided.
A Fohhn Venue System with a variable electronic directivity was provided for the sound section of the Plaza de la Trinidad. This equipment is able to avoid unwanted acoustic reflections in the enclosure thanks to Fohhn’s proprietary measurement system: FAMSA. In addition, control tables of DiGiCo SD7 and SD5 models were supplied.
The Frigo Stage had L’Acoustic equipment for the P.A. and monitors, next to an Avid Digidesign Profile control table. Likewise, the Heineken Terrace presented L’Acoustic sound equipment, Meyer Sound monitors and another Yamaha CL5 control table.
