FITUR 2020 CONCLUDES ITS MOST MULTITUDINARY AND SUSTAINABLE EDITION

The 40th edition of FITUR (International Tourism Fair) landed once more in Madrid to present the novelties of the sector by hundreds of companies and institutions from all over the world. The meeting concluded with the highest attendance figures in its history, with more than 250,000 attendees, and with sustainability as the protagonist of this year with many proposals to reduce the ecological damage.

The event was held at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid from January 20 to 24 and was attended by 165 countries and regions, with South Korea as a Partner Country of this edition, and about a thousand stands that presented trends and innovations of numerous tourist destinations. In addition, the fair had various activities such as concerts, talks, gastronomic tastings or exhibitions with special emphasis on the ecological development of this industry.

In this sense, many of FITUR’s stands and positions were focused on sustainability by having recyclable and low-consumption materials. For example Iberia´s stand, whose structure was made with paper, or that of Globalia, with a stand raised with reused elements, which hosted different samples and acts of commitment to the environment.

Fluge Audiovisuales was present as the audiovisual equipment and technical personnel provider of this 40 edition of FITUR through the aforementioned Iberia and Globalia stands, in addition to the Castilla-La Mancha stand, all of them in Hall 10. Also in the Caixabank stand, in the Hall 8, at the AETIB stand of the Balearic Islands, in Hall 7, and at the Generalitat de Catalunya stand.

Iberia´s stand, winner of the best stand prize, was designed and executed by Light Project, hired by Lagata Comunicación, which carried out a detailed study of the lighting of the space to see the behavior of the luminaires on the projection surface and an analysis of the energy impact of stand consumption and the movement of workers for its installation, with Fluge Audiovisuales as a supplier of lighting, video and technical personnel. Among others, half a hundred Martin Rush PAR 2 spotlights, more than 20 Martin MAC Quantum Wash and several Clay Paky Scenius Profile controlled by a GrandMA2 Light were supplied with a 5.5 x 3 meter LED display and 2.97 pitch mm for the video section.

The Globalia stand, which hosted relevant brands of the group such as Air Europa or Halcón Viajes, featured Fluge Audiovisuales as a provider of sound, lighting (lighting design included) and video equipment thanks to the trust of Globalia Meetings & Events. The Caixabank stand was provided with sound and video equipment, which included a 4X2 meter LED screen and 4.9mm pitch, thanks to BuildUP‘s trust.

Also, the Castilla-La Mancha stand was provided with sound equipment ADAMSON brand and AKG microphone, and video with a curved LED screen of 8X3 meters with a pitch of 4.81mm and another screen 6X3 meter LED and 5mm pitch, in addition to 17 55” monitors and streaming service throughout the event, thanks to the confidence of Viajes El Corte Inglés, its producer; which also produced the AETIB stand and was provided with DAS Audio and Shure microphone sound equipment.

Finally, the stand of the Generalitat de Catalunya chose Fluge Barcelona as their provider of sound and video equipment thanks to the trust of the Catalan Tourism Agency, its production company.
