FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY, A WORLD E-SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP IS HELD IN SPAIN
Teamfight Tactics is one of the most famous video games in the world. What was originally a game mode available for League of Legends has held its first world championship under the name Dragonlands Championship. From Friday, November 18 to Sunday, November 20, this event took place in the Valencian Community Digital District in Alicante, where 32 players from 11 countries around the world competed to win the throne in the Grand Final of the eSports video game.
The event was a complete success, so the organization’s next objective is to make it more accessible at a competitive level. In this edition, the winners shared a prize of more than $450,000. After the clashes on the Dragonlands boards, the representative of the Chinese region XunGe was proclaimed the world champion in TFT, obtaining the 18 points that placed him in the first position.
Thanks to GGTech Entertainment, producer of the event, Fluge Audiovisuales was in charge of supplying the audiovisual lighting, sound and video equipment for the competition. Among the material installed stands out a 500 square meter stage, 180 devices that require more than 40,000 watts of power, an innovative intercom system designed for large concerts and a Scorpio crane over 16 meters high.
In addition, the observer system has been one of the most complex designed to date for this type of event. About fifteen high-performance computers obtained live images of the games, where eight operators viewed the content on more than 30 screens. It should also be noted that fans were able to follow the live broadcast of the championship via streaming on the official TFT channel on Twitch.
