MADRID IS CONVERTED INTO THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC CAPITAL HOSTING POPLAND AND A STATE OF TRANCE

On March 9th, Madrid witnessed two events that overwhelmed electronic music lovers. On the one hand, the Wizink Center hosted a magical night with one of the most unique and personal proposals of DJ Nano: Popland. It was an emotional journey through dance and pop music of the past decades. On the other hand, DJ Armin Van Buuren landed his impressive sound ship at IFEMA with his A State of Trance show, a show of immense dimensions that was presented for the first time in our country. Fluge Audiovisuales provided the audiovisual equipment for both shows that shook the audience.

DJ Nano dazzles with the fascination in Popland

The Madrid DJ Nano presented at the Wizink Center an exciting journey through the most iconic hits of pop, rock and dance along with an impressive sound and visual display that was accompanied by the unusual La Fura Dels Baus and the orchestra Darevitam!. In addition, Pixelmap Studios designed the great stage.

The evening, which was divided into three thematic blocks, began with the intervention of La Fura Dels Baus and his colossal Transformer, a figure several meters high arranged on one side of the stage capable of moving in time with Nano’s music and that intervened in different moments of the show. It was the first time that the irreverent theater company participated in an electronic music concert.

Nano started the night with a first section dedicated to the most legendary rock themes, among which U2, AC/DC and Queen hits, among many others. To end this part, Darevitam appeared on stage, which surprised the audience with the orchestral interpretation of a pop music selection of the last decades. Following, Nano gave way to a dance section in which he reviewed some of the most representative themes of this style, and that concluded in a special tribute to the recently deceased Keith Flint, singer The Prodigy, and the Swedish Avicii. Moments that made those present vibrate with intensity.

To finish, the Spaniard put the finishing touches to the concert with a final block devoted to the most recent pop, a set of themes from the most resounded artists of the current scene that generated a powerful final climax for this unusual show. Almost three hours of show, in which Nano exposed his particular way of understanding music.

IFEMA Navigates to the trance planet with Armin Van Buuren’s ASOT

Armin Van Buuren’s  sound ship landed at IFEMA to overwhelm attendees with his A State of Trance (ASOT) show. The capital received this unprecedented show that made it ramble to the Dutch’s particular dance planet with great expectation. Van Buuren is one of the greatest icons of trance music, subgenre of dance electronics emerged in the nineties, and his figure attracts numerous fans around the world.

The event presented different artists in the form of opening acts to warm the atmosphere before the appearance of Van Buuren. After this, the spirits reached a spectacular in crescendo with the first notes of the evening’s protagonist. Under the leadership of the producer and DJ, the assembled public exploded in a vibrant climax to plunge the capital into a unique trance state. It was an impressive sound and visual show full of effects that made the audience enjoy the biggest trance music show in the world.

ASOT was a unique moment in our country and it is an itinerant show that comes to many cities across the globe. A format that the Dutch has been presenting for some years and that has become one of the most important in its field.
