The Panamanian fashion scene shone once again thanks to Panama Fashion Week 2023, held in various locations in the iconic Old Town of Panama City from September 19 to 24. Under the motto “Fashion Beyond”, the event was a clear reflection of the fusion of culture, design and artistic expressions of Panama and other corners of Latin America.

Physical, the agency, with Marie Claire de Bueno and Astrud Cordero at the helm, spared no details so that this event would consolidate itself as a benchmark in Latin American fashion. The first stop was the luxurious American Trade hotel, which from September 19 to 21 became the cradle of Panamanian haute couture. The main hall of the hotel was transformed with a 180-meter truss structure, serving as a base for more than 86 cutouts, which illuminated three catwalks along which the proposals of the 18 most renowned designers in the country and some international figures paraded. The four 1×3 meter screens showed the parades in real time, thanks to a closed circuit of three cameras. The sound system, crucial to creating the perfect atmosphere, was made possible thanks to a P.A. system. It was  composed of 10 Meyer Sound Melodie, covering the entire space of the room. In addition, the 20k projector was responsible for clearly projecting the logos of each designer, giving each one, their moment of prominence.

Outside the main stage, the experience area, sponsored by various brands, shone with its own light, while a special room was set up to house hair, makeup and wardrobe areas, guaranteeing an impeccable look for each model. The backstage was not left behind, with video and intercom signals, allowing impeccable coordination between all those involved.

From the 22nd to the 24th the event moved to the Fashion District, marking a drastic change in the tone and style of the shows. In this space, the focus was on emerging designers, whose fresh and urban proposals filled the 90 meters of catwalk with vitality. The lighting, composed of more than 90 LED bars, highlighted every detail of the creations. As for sound, a P.A. system was supplied composed of 8 Meyer Sound UPA, which offered an immersive listening experience. In addition, the Fashion District hosted the “fashion week market”, a space that extended over more than 350m2 and in which more than 30 artisans from the sector showed their proposals, providing a space for a fashion most authentic and close to Panamanian roots.

Thanks to Physical, producer of the event, Fluge Audiovisuales Centroamérica was in charge of supplying the audiovisual equipment for both spaces. With events like this, highlighted for its impeccable production and organization, the result of the hard work of Marie Claire de Bueno, Astrud Cordero and their entire team, Panama continues to establish itself as a benchmark in the fashion world, showing the entire world the talent and the passion that resides in the heart of the country.
