Project Description

The Goya Awards visited the city of Malaga to award the best Spanish films of the year. This, being the greatest distinction for the Spanish cinema, summoned a multitude of professionals from the sector to celebrate its 34th edition, with a gala conducted by Andreu Buenafuente and Silvia Abril, who recognized the technical and artistic quality of numerous films.

The event, which took place on January 25 and was broadcast live on TVE, presented an important audiovisual display that exhibited extensive LED video screens. In addition, it provided fantastic moments with the presenters and many familiar faces of film and televisión sector who went up to deliver the awards of the different categories. Among all the nominated films “Dolor y Gloria”, directed by Pedro Almodóvar, took seven Goyas, including the best director, actress and actor.

One of the most spectacular moments of the night was the performance of Amaia who performed an emotional song to honor Pepa Flores, awarded with the Goya of Honor for her career. For the intervention a large cube was deployed on which various images of the most iconic moments of the actress were projected.

Thanks to the trust of El Terrat, its producer, and the Academia de Cine, its organizer, Fluge Audiovisuales provided the video team and audiovisual technical staff of the gala. Specifically, 220 square meters of LED video screen with 4.81 mm pitch were provided along with another 100 square meters of LED screen with 2.91mm pitch. For the projection of the cube three Panasonic PT-RZ31K projectors were supplied together with two Panasonic PT-DZ21K2 projectors for 5X3 meter production screens (the latter two supplied to the Academia de Cine). Likewise, two disguise control servers, Vx4 and 4x4pro models were used, as well as six electronic NovaStar 4k screens with hot backup and an 8×8 4k60p matrix to switch between the two servers.
