THE NEW MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS EDITION EXCEEDS ALL EXPECTATIONS
For four consecutive days, from March 27 to 2, the 2023 edition of Mobile World Congress returned to Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Vía venue to offer all the latest in connectivity, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and robotics. In the words of Constantí Serrallonga, CEO of Fira de Barcelona, the event exceeded any expectations, achieving the figure of 88,000 attendees given by the organizing company GSMA. In addition, he praised the level of the programmed content and the high international participation.
Once again, developers, investors, founders and technology fans from all over the world came together in one of the most important events in the world in the field of mobile technologies. Under five main themes: 5G Acceleration, Reality+, OpenNet, FinTech and Digital Everything, this new edition of MWC featured eight pavilions where numerous exhibitors were housed and presentations by more than 150 industry leaders were scheduled in each of them.
As every year, thanks to GSMA’s trust, the organizing association of the event, and Fira de Barcelona, Fluge Barcelona was in charge of supplying the multiple state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment distributed throughout the different spaces of the venue, in addition to providing the equipment for parallel events. such as the opening dinner at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), attended by King Felipe VI and the Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. On the other hand, he was also in charge of directing the decorative section, curtains and content management.
For the Conference Program space, three auditoriums with a capacity of 200 people were built, equipped with an 8 x 3.5 meter LED screen, a P.A. system, a broadcasting system, wireless microphones and general lighting in the room, stage and decoration. In the Partner Program space, six auditoriums for 100, 200 and 500 people were built with a networking area in each of them. In these auditoriums, projection screens, a production system from 4 to 2 cameras, a streaming system, 30 and 40K laser projectors, wireless microphones and general room or stage and decorative lighting were supplied. Finally, all these auditoriums had Digital Signage devices and a technical secretariat.
Fluge Barcelona was present in different spaces throughout Fira de Barcelona such as the Industry City conference and meeting rooms, the entrance tunnel to the venue, Garden 3 Amazon, Garden 4 ServisNow, the GSMA Booth stand, the TV studio and the space in CC2 where the security forces were located. Broadly speaking, it is possible to rule out the installation of robotic lighting, P.A. Meyer Sound, lighting and sound control tables, large LED screens, 40K projectors, Barco and Ascender controllers and more than 900 video screens.
