“THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA” MUSICAL DEBUTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ITALY TO GREAT ANTICIPATION
The world-acclaimed musical “The Phantom of the Opera,” by renowned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, was presented for the first time in Italy at the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Trieste. For two weeks, from July 4 to 16, the play generated enormous expectation among musical theater lovers, garnering a multitude of praises for its staging.
The production was carried out by Broadway Italia, an entity that has gained recognition over the years for producing high-quality musicals in the country. Directed by Federico Bellone, known for his work in productions such as “Dirty Dancing” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, and starring Olivier and Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo in the role of the Ghost, the play has aroused to the public with a proposal in its original language, English.
“The Phantom of the Opera” is based on Gaston Leroux’s novel of the same name and has captivated audiences around the world since its premiere in 1986. With more than 145 million viewers in 183 cities and in 17 languages, the musical has established records and has received countless awards.
After passing through Italy, the musical will move to Madrid under the production of LetsGo Entertainment, where it will be presented at the Albéniz Theater from October 4. After that, it will travel to Milan and Montecarlo.
Thanks to Broadway Italia, producer of the musical, Fluge Audiovisuales has been forced to supply the sound material for the performances performed in Trieste, where the sound design was carried out by Roc Mateu. Among the material supplied, it is worth highlighting a P.A. and frontfill made up of Adamson teams.
