A multitude of double basses, trumpets and pianos sprang up through the streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz with its 43rd Jazz Festival. The historic event, held from July 15th to 20th, turned the city into a total musical experience with live bands and soloists in different locations both in theaters and outdoors. The genre lovers could enjoy a poster that mixed young talents with renowned artists such as Kamasi Washington, Gregory Porter or Benny Golson.
The event presented three different stages scattered around the town: Mendizorroza Sports Center, the Antzokia Main Theater and the one hosted at Plaza de los Fueros for outdoor concerts. All of them had Fernando Díaz as Technical Producer of Sound, Lighting and Video and Fohhn as Sound Designer.
The stage of Mendizorroza housed some of the most prominent artists of the cartel and was responsible for receiving the closing of the festival, with the performance of the aforementioned Kamasi Washington as a final touch.
Fluge Audiovisuales provided the sound, lighting, video and audiovisual technical staff of the contest thanks to the confidence of the Vitoria Jazz Festival Association, producer of the event.
Specifically, Meyer Sound sound equipment and a DiGiCo SD10 control table were provided for the Mendizorroza Sports Center stage. For the lighting, Martin, Robert Juliat, Vari*Lite and Clay Paky lights were supplied and, in relation to the video, Panasonic projectors of 20,000 lumens and a production control with three HD cameras were provided.
Likewise, the Main Theater was equipped with Meyer Sound sound equipment and a Yamaha CL1 control table. The Plaza de los Fueros stage had sound equipment from Meyer Sound and DAS Audio with a Yamaha QL1 control table.
