The Malaga Film Festival is one of the most important events for the seventh art in Spain. Its 22nd edition, which took place between March 15TH and 24TH, flooded Malaga’s capital with screen play magic. The event was held in numerous areas of the city such as movie theaters and other locations marked by art and a passion for film culture.
The festival, which was born at the end of the 90s, is a benchmark in its type of contests inside and outside our borders, focusing on Spanish-language films, both national and Latin American. The event has different sections, such as feature films, documentaries, short films or special premieres, among others. This year the prize for the best Spanish and Ibero-American film went to “Las Distancias” and “Benzinho”, respectively.
