On the occasion of the Jubilee Holy Year of Santiago, the Fernando Núñez Foundation organized “Cuenca, Uclés, Vía Láctea”, a simultaneous sensory spectacle between the Monastery of Uclés and the Cathedral of Cuenca. The event, held on Sunday July 25, had the objective of highlighting the historical heritage of the town and its Monastery, headquarters of the Order of Santiago founded in the 12th century.
Both stages, the Monastery of Uclés and the Cathedral of Cuenca, were united through technology, through a synchronized and shared show that consisted of a concert carried out by the Schola Antiqua group – directed by Juan Carlos Asensio -, Qvinta Essençia and La Caravaggia. All this was combined with the projection on the altarpiece that moved the spectators from the 16th century to the 9th century, the time when the new MDU Medievo project is located. In addition, a scale reproduction of the altarpiece in the church of Uclés was installed in the Cuenca cathedral, allowing the audience to observe said projection simultaneously.
Fluge Audiovisuales, thanks to the Fernando Núñez Foundation and LaLAB, was in charge of supplying the audiovisual equipment of the event, which was attended by 400 people, being broadcast via streaming through social networks.
