The emblematic WiZink Center in Madrid commemorated its 1,000th concert with an unprecedented event held on October 24 and 25. The celebration, called “The 1,000th of the WiZink Center”, stood out for the performance of a 1,000-minute musical marathon, without interruption, presenting 100 emerging bands from all over Spain.
The opening of the event was marked by the performance of Raphael, a legend of Spanish music, who inaugurated the macro-event on October 24th. Miss Caffeina and Marlon were other bands that participated in the event, symbolizing the union of established and emerging talents. In addition, the concert was attended by professionals from the music industry, including promoters, managers and specialized press.
In this way, a unique platform was provided for emerging artists, selected from more than 300 applicants, to showcase their talent on a prestigious stage. Each of the selected bands performed a song of their own composition, covering a great diversity of musical genres. This selection criterion guaranteed a vibrant and eclectic show, offering the public, who followed the ceremony via streaming, a taste of the future of Spanish music.
For this historic event, the WiZink Center had permanent audiovisual equipment installed by Fluge Audiovisuales, the venue’s official provider of sound, lighting and video equipment rental services. The facility has a stage with more than 18 meters of opening and state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video systems. With more than 100 Adamson speakers covering PA, frontfill, downfill and outfill, more than 80 top-level moving spotlights distributed across 4 truss bridges, plus 2 side bridges and a large LED screen along with an HD production system , among others.
