The 2019 United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP25), also known as the Climate Summit, has gathered in Madrid a multitude of leaders, personalities and activists from all over the world to address measures to tackle the climate crisis. The Summit is held at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid until next December 15th and presents hundreds of papers and discussion forums as well as various exhibitions and activities distributed throughout the fairgrounds.
Among the different samples, one where video mapping and virtual reality are associated to raise awareness about this problem to attendees stands out. This installation, called Open Future Creative Communion, exposes large translucent looms that recreate the skyline of a city on which images that refer to this environmental consciousness are projected. In turn, these images are accompanied by a sound system that is activated interactively with their movements.
For this, a video-mapping composed of powerful projectors is used that reflect a multitude of representations related to nature capable of creating a space where visual art is a vehicle to transmit this message in a colorful way . In addition, the exhibition also has a virtual reality system that completes this immersive experience.
Thanks to Intersection Studio’s trust, producer of this space, Fluge Audiovisuales is a provider of audiovisual equipment and technical personnel employed for it. Among the equipment supplied, three Barco projectors (HDQ-2K40 model) of 40,000 lumens and 2K resolution stand out.
